Hello, we’re the Harveys… husband and wife, Dana and Melanie Harvey. In March of 1997, while installing seatbelts into our 1950 Buick, we had the idea of making Melanie a matching handbag. Everyone loved hers so much that we decided to make more.

What started out as a one-car garage operation has since grown into a 16,000 sq. ft. factory in Santa Ana, California. There, each Harveys Seatbeltbag is lovingly built to specifications, and guaranteed tough. Harveys is now sold in more than 500 retail outlets including three freestanding branded locations in California, and in more than 25 countries worldwide. Harveys designers aimed to find the best images that conveyed the time and mood of early Walt Disney cartoons. This comic in particular has a bittersweet story of Mickey serenading Minnie; ironically the story ends with Mickey and Pluto walking away in shame. Mistakenly, Minnie turns them away because she thought they were teasing her about her tooth ache. Harveys wanted to keep the line tidy and fun, while incorporating classic elements of Disney, and seamlessly fusing the imagery into our signature seatbelt weave.
